Not a good surrounding neighborhood. Not much for children. Basically a dog park.
The park has undergone some improvements lately. There is an old train engine that they recently built a covered roof over. Also has lightning for night time viewing. Some homeless gather here during the weekdays... but the police seem to do a good job patrolling so it is safe.
I would give it zero stars if I could, the park hasn't changed since I moved here from Texas when I was six honestly I don't even the the city cares about its own land, Laurel sucks there's nothing for us youths to do.
Peaceful! Great for walks or meditation of your choice. Plenty of room for space n privacy or to visit with others.
Has a public basketball court indoors for nominal fee raquet ball courts, lit tennis courts. Walking track and children's playground as well.
